Sydney Wallner
My name is Coach Sydney Wallner, and I am a performance coach here at Boost Training. I was born and raised in Riverside, CA. I attended Hillcrest High School where I played basketball, volleyball and softball.
After high school, I was blessed with the opportunity to attend Vanguard University (NAIA) on a full ride basketball scholarship where I was a student-athlete for 2 years. I then came back home to Riverside and transferred to La Sierra University (NAIA) on a full ride scholarship, where I played basketball for another 4 years until finishing my athletic career in 2023. I had the privilege to play against high level competition during my six years as an athlete including games against high level NCAA D-1 programs including: UCONN, USC, UCLA, Southern Utah University, University of San Francisco, and California Berkeley.
I graduated from LaSU with my Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science in 2022, and am currently still in school working to obtain my Masters in Sports Business Administration.
My passion for coaching stems from my story as a high school athlete. I did not play basketball until I was a freshman in high school. My whole entire world became trying to become the best player that I could be in hopes of one day receiving a scholarship. The amount of motivation that athletes carry and use to fuel their training is something that I can relate to on a personal level. Understanding all that it takes is the reason that I decided to pursue a career in strength and conditioning for athletes. I am blessed to be here at Boost and have the opportunity to help athletes from my community better themselves, their skill levels, and their overall health and wellbeing.
